Ishani Ghotikar, M.Sc, CSN

Ishani Ghotikar is a nutritionist and researcher who uses scientific dietary principles to suit the individual requirements and goals of her clients. Through nutrition counseling and dietary management, she successfully manages conditions such as obesity, gall bladder issues, polycystic ovarian syndrome, pregnancy, and lactation. She also provides professional health advice for young children and creates diets for recreational athletes.

Ishani also serves as a nutrition and dietetics consultant for the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), a nonprofit and nonpolitical organization that conducts agricultural research for development in the drylands of Asia and sub-Saharan Africa to help empower poor people to overcome poverty, hunger, and a degraded environment through better agriculture. Her roles include designing, conducting (including field data collection), analyzing, and disseminating studies, providing sports-specific guidance to tribal children competing in various sports using locally available foods, managing logistical challenges, analyzing and improving barriers for the effective consumption of essential nutrients among tribal populations, and conducting nutrition education both online and offline.

Ishani obtained a bachelor’s degree in applied nutrition and public health from St. Francis College for Women in 2016 and a master’s degree in applied nutrition from the National Institute of Nutrition in 2018.
